Teaching Opportunities BLUT0523 HMP Winchester (SO22 5DF) £16,950 - £27,450 for Permanent Full Time Posts (pro-rata for fractional) £21.59 per hour for Sessional Tutors / £14.66 per hour for Sessional Trainers

Our client is currently the largest national Provider of Offender Learning in the UK; their highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.

The aim of the Directorate is to lead, manage and develop provision in order to reduce re-offending and contribute to social inclusion by providing a wealth of curricula experiences including a core curriculum of Skills for Life, Personal and Social Development and work related training.

Working within the secure estate offers a challenging but extremely rewarding environment for the right candidate.

They have the following permanent vacancies within the South East Region at HMP Winchester:

Tutors (Full Time & Fractional) £22,450 - £27,450
1x Skills for Life / 0.6 Business Enterprise (22.2 hrs per week) / 0.4 IT (14.8 hrs per week) As directed by a manager or Curriculum Team Leader, to teach and to develop and deliver high quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with TMC policies and procedure.
Learning Support Practitioner x1 Full time £16,950 - £18,950
As directed by the SENCo or class teacher/trainer, to promote progression and independent learning by delivering high quality, literacy, language and numeracy, learner-focused learning support to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with TMC policies and procedure. Assist the teacher/trainer in managing the behaviour of individual learners by using engaging and inclusive learning experiences and de-escalation methods.

Student Support Worker x1 Full time £16,950 - £18,950
As directed by the SENCo or OLASS Manager to ensure, via appropriate assessment, that prospective and existing learners receive relevant and easily understood information regarding learning and skills provision and continuing support. To contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of the learner into the community.

They are also seeking Sessional Tutor and Sessional Trainer applications in subject areas including, but not limited to Business Enterprise, ICT, Literacy & Numeracy, Social & Life Skills, Art, Preparation for Work, ESOL, Learning & Support, Customer Care, Barbering & Hairdressing, Construction, Motor Mechanics, Industrial Cleaning, and Hospitality & Catering.

To succeed within these roles, candidates will need to have a pragmatic and non judgmental approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.
Please note that all salaries specified are the full time salaries and any part-time (fractional) roles will have the appropriate pro-rata salary.
